Some wedding days are elegant.
Some wedding days are joyful.
Ashley and Andy’s Ma Maison wedding was both.
From the moment I arrived, it was clear this day was centered around what mattered most to them: celebrating with the people they love. With more than 200 family members and friends gathered at Ma Maison, every part of the day felt warm, welcoming, and incredibly personal. Their vision was simple from the beginning. They wanted authentic moments, genuine connection, and a photography experience that felt natural and low-key while still documenting every meaningful detail.
Ma Maison Wedding
A Romantic Ma Maison Wedding in the Texas Hill Country
Nestled in the Texas Hill Country, Ma Maison provided the perfect backdrop for Ashley and Andy’s celebration. The venue’s European-inspired architecture, oak trees, and beautiful ceremony grove created an atmosphere that felt timeless without feeling overly formal.
The day began with a relaxed morning alongside family and friends before Ashley shared an emotional first look with her dad. One of my favorite things about wedding days is watching parents see their children fully dressed and ready to walk down the aisle. It’s one of those moments that never gets old.
A Ceremony Surrounded by Family
One thing that stood out throughout Ashley and Andy’s wedding was just how important family is to both of them.
The ceremony took place in The Grove at Ma Maison, surrounded by the people who have supported them throughout their relationship. Family members participated throughout the ceremony, and following the vows, everyone stayed close by for an extensive round of family portraits that reflected just how many loved ones had traveled to celebrate with them.
With such a large guest count, it would have been easy for the day to feel overwhelming. Instead, it felt intimate. Every conversation, hug, and happy tear served as a reminder of the incredible community surrounding these two.
Cocktail Hour and Sunset Portraits at Ma Maison
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the patio while Ashley and Andy spent time with family before sneaking away for portraits around the property.
One of the reasons I love photographing a Ma Maison wedding is the variety of portrait locations throughout the venue. From the tree-lined pathways to the open Texas Hill Country views, there is no shortage of beautiful backdrops.
As the evening light softened, we explored the property and captured some of my favorite portraits of the day before heading back inside for the celebration.
An Unforgettable Ma Maison Wedding Reception
The reception kicked off with a grand entrance, first dance, heartfelt toasts, and one packed dance floor.
With Love & Happiness Band leading the entertainment, guests filled the dance floor from the moment the music started and kept the energy high all night long. There was no shortage of laughter, happy tears, and unforgettable moments as family and friends celebrated together.
One of my favorite things about Ashley and Andy’s wedding was that it never felt rushed. They prioritized time with their guests and intentionally built a day focused on connection. The result was a celebration that felt joyful, relaxed, and completely true to who they are as a couple.
Why I Love Photographing a Ma Maison Wedding
Ma Maison continues to be one of my favorite Texas wedding venues for couples who want an elevated wedding experience without sacrificing warmth or personality. Between the beautiful ceremony spaces, stunning reception areas, and incredible Hill Country views, it’s easy to see why so many couples fall in love with it.
Ashley and Andy, thank you for trusting me to document such an important day. Your wedding was filled with so much joy, genuine connection, and love, and I feel incredibly grateful to have been part of it.
