Our wedding photography is just like our clients: iconic & one-of-a-kind.

AUSTIN WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER SERVING ALL OVER TEXAS AND COAST TO COAST

Our team approaches your wedding day with an anticipatory eye - always on the hunt for what’s happening next and what would be most meaningful to our couples and their families. We’re big believers in the power of energy photographers bring into your day - they either add to the experience or they take away from it.

We strike a balance between being a trusted guide and a fly-on-the-wall during key moments, avoiding imposing where we don’t belong and stepping in where you need support. We take the responsibility of creating your first family heirloom seriously - and we capture your wedding day as if it was art, because it is. Living art meant to be enjoyed for generations to come.

We avoid stuffy photos without losing the refinement.

If you take a closer look at our work, you’ll notice a few things: real emotion, medium format + 35mm film, attention to detail, bear hugs, happy tears, sick dance moves, and a unique eye for design and storytelling.

You deserve photos that feel like you.

“Holy WOW do I love Paige!!! I have seen first hand how professional, kind and supreme quality Paige's work is and I wanted nothing but the BEST for my own wedding day.”

INQUIRE

After we receive your initial inquiry, we’ll confirm our availability and rates, and send you a link to schedule some time for a quick Zoom (more like a virtual happy hour!) to ensure we’re a good fit.

01. Initial Meeting

Assuming we’re the perfect fit for each other, you’ll sign our digital contract and pay the first payment on your invoice to make things official! Your final balance is due 30 days before your event.

02. Booking

If you’ve opted to do an engagement session, we’ll help you plan it! Your session allows us to get to know each other more & to get comfortable in front of my camera. We do most of our shoots in the greater Austin area, but we’ve also traveled everywhere from Mexico, Arizona, Washington, New York, California, D.C., India, and more for our clients’ shoots and can provide you with a custom quote if you have a dream location.

03. Engagement Session

I will work directly with your planner to design a timeline that reflects what matters most to you. We also have questionnaires that’ll be sent to you throughout the process asking about all the details of the day, including timeline, family photos, special requests, etc.

04. Logistics & planning

We arrive on your wedding day, capture the magic, and you have the time of your life. We balance guiding your through the timeline and helping you feel your best, while being a fly-on-the-wall when it comes to emotional moments. That way you get the best of both worlds when it comes to your photos!

05. Wedding Day

One business day after the wedding, I share a collection of sneak peeks with you so you’re able to bask in the moment, share with family and friends, and tide you over until your final gallery comes in.

06. Sneak Peeks

After the wedding, we edit your full wedding collection in our signature PVP style; maintaining the integrity of how it felt to be there on your day. You’ll receive your image collection 6-8 weeks after the wedding in an online gallery and a mobile app, which is easy to share with family and friends.

07. Photo Delivery

After your final photos are delivered, we'll begin the white glove album design process. We’ve curated the best of the best materials to create a stunning family heirloom, and we’ve refined our album designing to be the easiest, most high-touch process on the market today.

LEARN MORE

I’ve been a photographer since 2012! I first focused solely on portraits (think senior photos!), then began working as a wedding photographer’s assistant and second photographer where I quickly fell in love with weddings. I shot my first wedding in 2014 and never looked back!

How long have you been a photographer?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

BOTH! I am proud to be a film shooter! It's inherently emotional and captures the way I see wedding days best. In instances where a digital camera performs better (hello crazy dancefloor!) I use it to capture and deliver imagery that creates a seamless gallery. But I’m not afraid to pull out my 35mm point-and-shoot to capture nostalgia after-dark, too! Film images can capture a wider range of highlights and dynamic range, offer smoother tonal transitions, present colors more true to life, exhibit a more attractive grain, and possess an overall more aesthetically-pleasing texture and controlled vibrancy.

DO YOU SHOOT FILM OR DIGITAL?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Unless we discuss otherwise on your consultation, your wedding is with Paige Vaughn as your primary photographer. I do have some opportunities for my associate shooters to cover an event at a different price point to help us serve a wild array of couples.

Will Paige BE present on our wedding day?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Not to brag, but making people feel comfortable is my secret sauce. Not only do I know how to make you look good, I’m an expert at making you feel good, too.

Can you make me feel comfortable in front of the camera?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

I work hard to make sure my couples have direction when they need it, and balance that with being a fly-on-the-wall other parts of the day where moments are naturally unfolding. We take our cues from our couples - do you need more hand-holding or do you want us to be a bonus bridesmaid with a camera? We’re the best of both worlds.

Do you pose your couples or are you photojournalistic in style?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Staying on schedule is one of the most important factors of our work. We plan carefully with your wedding planner or coordinator to create a custom minute-by-minute photo timeline for each event. Adhering to our photo timeline ensures that we are able to capture every incredible moment and detail of your celebration in optimal lighting conditions.

How do you ensure that you stay on schedule during the day?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Because of our unique style, couples often ask us to travel for their celebrations! I often travel to shoot weddings, which means our events either require a car ride or an airplane (or two or three) - ask me about that time I fly to India to photograph a wedding ;). I typically arrive 1-2 days before an event to fully scout the venue and location before coverage ever begins, pending on how far the destination is, often several days prior for international events. This time frame allows for any travel delays, and gives us time to get acclimated to the area, including scouting the wedding and shooting locations. During scouting, we often begin taking location and “scene” shots, which help narrate the complete story of your wedding.

Do you travel to shoot weddings?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Engagement sessions are not only important for capturing this special moment in time, but it's also the easiest way to have a relaxing and natural photography experience on your wedding day. You know what to expect and you're comfortable with the process, resulting in stunning, candid wedding photos. I like to think of it as a trial-run! I am more than willing to travel for engagement sessions - I actually love it when our couples ask us to photograph them in a location that means something special to them.

Should I book an engagement session?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

We average 75-100 images per hour that we’re shooting. We deliver all photos taken except for duplicates, blinks, test shots, etc. unless it’s a hilarious blooperr. We love delivering our client’s photos quickly and easily via an online gallery - with a turnaround of 2-3 weeks for engagements and 6-8 weeks for weddings. You will have the ability to print, share and download your images as much as you want. We believe in freely sharing our work because that is what we would want if we were in your shoes. The final set of images are corrected for color and adjusted for exposure. These images also receive basic retouching, which includes blemish removal, small under-eye touch-up, distracting hair removal and/or slight cropping. Our preference is for all images to look natural and unretouched. Any adjustments we make are minimal, leaving your photographs looking clean, beautiful and representative of your celebration.

How many photos will I receive? How do I receive them? And how long does it take to deliver my final gallery? Are the photos edited?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Usually if you’re having your ceremony and reception in one location with a 20-30 minute ceremony (which is most common) 8 hours is perfect! If you’re having a longer ceremony or having a church wedding/venue reception, usually 10 hours is a safe bet. You can always add additional coverage as we get closer to the big day and we have a good idea of your timeline - no matter how many hours you choose, we will help you make the most of your coverage!

How many hours of photography do I need?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

We offer Super 8mm films to our clients, but other than that, we have a list of our trusted video partners that we love working with and that match our client experience style. We’re happy to share this list with you - just let us know!

Do you offer videography?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

You’ve got enough on your plate—our thorough and detail oriented approach ensures you’ll have more photos than you could ever need or want, but we do recommend bringing to our attention any special people, planned moments, or unique details you’d like to capture that we might not know to anticipate. We provide a checklist of family photos to help prompt you, and give you space to request special photos with different groups of people, if that’s your jam.

Should I make a "shot list" of my desired photos?

BACK TO ALL QUESTIONS

Once we’ve determined your photography needs, we will prepare and send a digital photography contract for your review.. Once we receive your contract and the 40 percent retainer, your wedding date is officially booked! The final balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding date.
