Being a Sonoma wedding photographer means everything you think it does: beautiful vineyards, perfect weather and glowy sunsets. Add in the fact that the wedding was hosted at Buena Vista winery and you get cobblestone and exposed stone and the smell of wine everywhere. Kelsey and Alex took their first meaningful trip as a couple to Sonoma with their parents, making this the perfect place for their destination wedding!

Add in the luscious floral draped over the bridal suite balcony and you have the perfect backdrop for this intimate affair. I adore the rich purple, shades of white and pretty greenery details set the tone for the whole day. They totally transformed the fountain to be covered in vines, dahlias and lanterns.

The day kicked off with an outdoor ceremony officiated by Kelsey’s brother. He has everyone in tears from laughing so hard, not to mention one of Kelsey’s bridesmaids sang a Kasey Musgraves song – TO DIE FOR.

A reception in the Fountain Courtyard followed, where the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed an evening of al fresco dinner and dancing under the stars. One of my favorite elements was having all their guest sign bottles of wine for their 5, 10 and 15 year anniversaries – most of which were from Buena Vista winery itself. Add that to the glasses of champagne, a golden hour cocktail hour and escaping to the nearby estate winery for sunset photos and you could say it was truly one of the best days EVER!
