I’m no stranger to Canyonwood Ridge (see my other recent Canyonwood Ridge weddings HERE!), but my favorite part of these wedding days is seeing how each couple puts their unique spin on this classic hill country venue.
Laura and James’ wedding was no exception! It was elegant from top to bottom – the minimalistic, but romantic table settings, the dusty blue finishes, the custom monogram projected onto Canyonwood’s staple fireplace – all of it made my heart thump. Don’t even get me started about their invitation suite – the colors and the calligraphy literally stopped me in my tracks. Did I mention that my favorite DJ company, TPEG, was in the house, too?!
What struck me more so than the decor was how warmly Laura and James loved on all their guests – from their wedding party, to both sets of families, to all their friends – it was so fun to see them soak in the quality time while also getting out on the dance floor and getting down.
Our story together first started during Laura and James’ Blanco engagement session. Since it was a bit of a drive, we ended up getting to spend more time together then I usually do with couple’s at their engagements. We bonded immediately! I will forever be impressed with Laura taking off her heels and driving James, myself and their precious baby Willa up the side of a mountain in an ATV. We also did a boudoir session for Laura and their wedding rehearsal dinner together, so it’s safe to say we’ve gotten closer than ever – what a serious blessing.
