Circle C Engagement Photos | Catherine + Chandler

Fall is the best time for Circle C engagement photos in South Austin – Catherine and Chandler’s session was no exception! Catherine and I have been following each other for years, so when Chandler reached out to me secretly to tell me he wanted to propose, I couldn’t contain my excitement!! In the weeks following his proposal and their engagement, we took advantage of the perfect fall weather to capture their love story.
If you’ve read my blogs before, you know I LOVE to have my couple’s tell their story. 🙂 Here is Catherine’s take on their happily ever after:
As for how we got engaged, we had planned to go to Grape Creek Winery in Fredericksburg the Sunday of Labor Day weekend to celebrate his 30th birthday the Tuesday before. We moved into our house the weekend before that so naturally, I slept during the car ride there.. missing all of the signs of how nervous he was! Once we arrived, my mom & I had to use the restroom.. so off we went & when we came back there was a lady waiting to take us to our table. I remember her saying that we were going to her favorite spot… Chandler had grabbed my hand at this point and was holding it tightly. I’ll never forget that. She walked us to an outside table and started talking about the vineyard, pointing at the view.. I remember being like, yes it’s beautiful! I’ve been here before, (lol!) then she was like how about y’all take a picture? Nothing out of the ordinary for me.. I love taking pictures & having moments documented with Chandler. I went to pull him in close to me when he grabbed both of my hands. He started saying the sweetest words to me.. and in that moment I knew. I started sobbing right away. I told him after he proposed, that I didn’t remember a word he said! And it’s true! I had so much adrenaline rushing through my body in that sweet moment.
Here is what he said: “We’re here to celebrate my 30th birthday, but the best gift I could ever have is to have you forever. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Catherine Marie Calzada, will you marry me?”
