I’m so excited to share this very special Carmel by the Sea wedding at Gardener Ranch with you! Chelsea and Chris (who you might remember from their Carmel engagement photos) hold Northern California close to their hearts – which made getting married in the Carmel Highlands a no-brainer.

The beautiful Gardener Ranch was sun-soaked the entire day, making this May wedding utterly romantic (even the forest flies looked like glitter in the sun – ha!).

Chelsea and Chris, who are originally from the Bay Area, moved to Colorado a few years ago, making their wedding one big reunion. (They both grew up in Los Gatos, CA and went to the same high school, but didn’t meet until after college. In fact, their families go back to my dad’s little league days — crazy, right?!) From their large wedding parties, to the family that came from all over to celebrate them, there couldn’t have been more joy in that space if we tried.

One of my favorite touches was the vintage car a close family member brought in for golden hour portraits – AH! Parked in front of the iconic Gardener Ranch fountain, I just imagine those portraits printed and hung in their home for decades to come.
