There’s something kind of magical that happens when you find the perfect combination of rustic and traditional, and these engagement photos are a perfect example! Charlotte and Weston decided to have their engagement session at Mattie’s at Green Pastures — one of Austin’s best brunch spots. It’s the same place where the couple got engaged and it doesn’t get much more romantic than that! I love shooting engagement sessions at proposal locations because it tends to bring up warm memories and deep emotions, making the photos that much more emotionally charged.
Charlotte and Weston got engaged about two years after meeting on a dating app. They’re both super relaxed and fun, and I can already tell their wedding day is going to be one for the books! The couple is having an intimate wedding at Austin Country Club with 120 of their closest family and friends. Austin Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in Texas and is rich with beauty and history. With gorgeous views of the Colorado River and Pennybacker Bridge and impressive venue spaces, it’s the perfect setting for stylish indoor-outdoor weddings. And with the popular sister duo of Kristin Catter Events planning the wedding, you know it’s going to be a personalized day to remember!
Mattie’s is such an adorable spot near downtown Austin and I loved how Charlotte and Weston’s classy, elegant style complemented the restaurant’s southern wraparound porch. And you can bet I was pretty excited when I found out that they were bringing their adorable Blue heeler, Blue, to the session. If you’re thinking of inviting your pup to your session, you can find some helpful dog engagement photo tips here. I love meeting fur babies and Blue was the handsomest boy!
