Your honeymoon should be the best vacation ever! Your dream trip should be spent doing exactly what you both love to do — if that’s sipping cocktails by the pool, great. But if you’re the kind of couple who desires a little adventure alongside your champagne and sunset strolls, it’s worth considering a destination that can offer enough activities to satisfy that craving.

Best Honeymoon Destinations for Adventurous Honeymooners

1. Hawaii
Staying in the US can be quite appealing to some. No passport?… No problem! The Hawaiian Islands have a ton to offer- waterfalls, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, zip lining, hiking and much more.

2.. Thailand
My personal favorite! Spend your morning at an elephant sanctuary and the afternoon lounging poolside with a view of the beautiful beaches on the Gulf of Thailand. And if the elephants aren’t enough, the waterfalls and biking might be the key to win you over.

3. Mexico
A quick two and a half hour flight and you’re on the beach within minutes. Head over to Punta Mita for luxurious resort amenities and deep sea fishing adventures. The following day head out to Sierra Madre Mountain rainforest for an action packed day- hike and ride burros up a mountain, then zip-line and rappel waterfalls to get back down. Or if you like to spend more time in the water, Riviera Maya has swimming with the dolphins and whale sharks!

4. Costa Rica
Costa Rica has the best of both worlds- the feel of something a bit more remote and unique, yet it’s also only a short flight away. Adventure is bountiful here! White water rafting, zip-lining, rappelling down waterfalls, mountain biking, and hiking all a plenty.

5. St. Lucia
This stunning Caribbean island offers hiking the Pitons, kite surfing, scuba diving, mountain biking, and deep sea fishing. If you’re looking for something with a bit of exotic flare and wildly romantic, St Lucia is perfect!
