Being one of many San Francisco wedding photographers means getting to shoot perfect golden hour engagement photos at Pier 7 and at Chrissy Park…which basically means this job is a D R E A M. Seleena and Carmelo were in town from Toronto, having made a pit stop in Los Angeles along the way and wanted to celebrate their engagement while in San Francisco. Wedding photographers love getting to meet their clients before the big day – engagement photos allow you to get comfortable in front of the camera, try each other on for size and capture photos of yourself in locations you really love – like these two on vacation!
I’ve asked a few times how we accomplished there photos with so few people in the background – after all, we’re in tourism season in San Francisco. The key is shooting engagement photos on week days. Less people, less tourists – it’s magic.
Carmelo and Seleena are old childhood friends! They lost touch for a while and then became friends again in their late teens. They only just got engaged this June. Carmelo has been in England the last two years completing his law degree and he was due to come home the day after he proposed. To heighten the surprise, he came home earlier than planned (without telling Seleena, of course!).Her girlfriends and her had dinner plans, but made a detour to a local Toronto park to check it out for a friend’s wedding. Little did she know, he was home early with a surprise proposal ! 🥰 S W O O N.
If you loved this engagement session, then you will LOVE Katy and Marty’s San Cruz engagement session, too!
