These film maternity photos capture the tenderness, connection, and joy that have defined every season of their story — from their Charleston engagement session to their Austin baby announcement. There’s nothing more meaningful than documenting love as it grows, especially when it’s someone close to your heart. Chelsea and I have been best friends since college, and photographing this next chapter for her and Clayton was such a full-circle moment.
We chose 35mm film for its timeless, true-to-life quality. It felt like the perfect medium for preserving the warmth and anticipation of this in-between season before Baby R arrives this June. The soft natural light, Chelsea’s effortlessly elegant style, and the quiet calm of this moment all came through beautifully on film.
Chelsea and Clayton have always leaned toward classic, intentional style, so we kept the session simple and refined. A neutral palette and natural setting allowed their connection—and the excitement for their growing family—to shine through. Film has a way of slowing everything down, allowing us to be present and capture the little moments that often become the most meaningful.
Photographing this season for them was such an honor, and I already know these film maternity photos will be treasured for years to come. Baby R, we’re all so excited to meet you.
