These two are getting married this October at Lost Mission, and this session was the perfect way to honor their story.

Libby and Jacob first met in Austin on a dating app, and after falling for each other (and the Hill Country), they moved outside the city to some land where they could raise chickens, live intentionally, and stay close to their roots. The proposal? An Austin staycation with a candlelit aisle of flowers at the South Congress Hotel, followed by a surprise party and dancing at The Broken Spoke. Swoon.

It only made sense to bring that same local love into their engagement session. Devil’s Backbone Tavern—eclectic, full of character, and totally iconic—gave us a setting that was both relaxed and full of storytelling charm. Libby and Jacob were effortlessly themselves, soaking up every moment between laughter and little glances.

Their upcoming wedding, planned by CW Events Austin with florals by By Maggie Peterson, will be the perfect mix of Spanish Mission inspiration and elevated elegance. Think: warm desert tones, antique gold accents, mariachi music, beer donkeys, espresso bars, and lush floral installations with just the right amount of wild.
