Anna and Andy’s Filoli engagement photos go down in history as one of my all-time favorite engagement sessions EVER! These two are so much fun. They trust my guidance, put the PREP in prepared, and let themselves truly enjoy the session. Because of this, their true selves shined through the photos – and of course the gorgeous backdrop of Filoli Historic House & Gardens.

Something that immediately stuck out about these two was their intentionality behind hiring a photographer.
Anna shared that she cares deeply about photography given her parents have only two photos from their wedding day nearly 5 decades ago. They escaped as refugees from Hong Kong/Vietnam to the United States, and have made a point to have every major accomplishment of their kids (she’s the youngest of 6 kids!) on the wall of their home – graduations, grandchildren, weddings etc. Because there aren’t many photos of themselves in their younger years, it was so important to Anna and Andy to have their special day captured to a tee.

I can’t wait for their wedding next September with Mary of With Grace and Love Events at Park Winters (which is one my favorite Bay Area venues)! They’re planning an incredible day fused with their heritage (and tons of style, of course)! I can’t wait to watch them slay on the dance floor.
