So often color is overlooked when designing a wedding palette, but when done right, it can truly leave wedding guests breathless – as was the case with this Wish Well House wedding, taking place in a gingham and pastel courtyard – all shot on medium format film.
Tucked just outside of Austin, Texas – a brand new venue, the Wish Well House, took a dilapidated hotel and turned into an all-white, fresh, modern venue with seriously captivating interior design. The highlights of the space include an intimate courtyard, argyle exterior, 40-foot ceilings, to-die for wallpaper, and southern charms from its floorboards to its windows. And I’d be remiss to not mention the climbing ivy where ceremonies are held – swoon!
Given the venue’s hotel roots, we wanted to include design features that were a nod to the past – such as the hotel key escort card display greeting guests at the reception.
To keep the design cheeky and fun, we included cheerful linens from La Tavola that brought color into the minimalistic space, crowned by letterpress stationery that tied everything together.
Caleigh and Braden, the real couple featured in this shoot, were joined by their sister (also the hair and makeup artist) and brother-in-law to form a bridal party – helping real couples imagine themselves within this wedding inspiration. We also included a real cocktail hour and ceremony to make the vision as realistic as possible.
The groom’s attire, styled by Chillann Styling, brought a fresh feel to this wedding, while still feeling formal enough for the occasion.
This is the perfect wedding inspiration for anyone planning a spring or summer wedding right now! xo
