Lucy and Estaban’s Sunstone Winery wedding took place on a cloudy day in Santa Ynez, California, along California’s central coast, about 45 minutes from Santa Barbara.

As stunning as this wedding is, the story behind this vineyard is just as interesting. Sunstone Winery was founded in 1989 when the Rice family moves from Santa Barbara to a peaceful 52-acre Santa Ynez ranch to grow wine grapes. The family originally chose the terraced site overlooking the Santa Ynez River for its ideal south-sloping exposure, its sandy, rocky soil, and a micro-climate that features early morning fog, warm, breezy afternoons, and cool evenings.

It makes perfect sense to have couples start their forever on this property.

Their head table was enveloped in a lush canopy, just steps away from the acres of vines on the property, kept private by the stunning architecture of the villa and the climbing rose vines.

I love how Lucy and Esteban including custom moments – like the engraved charcuterie boards used to hold the cake – that they will be able to take into their married life together.
