This springtime wedding at The Arlo featured lots of bright colorful florals, an emotional first look, a second line parade, beer burrows, and one heck of a dancefloor!

Their emotional first look was captured on the west terrace, where they held hands and read their private letters to each other. They later exchanged wedding vows during their ceremony on the the back lawn with The Arlo’s modern architecture, nestled amongst old-growth oaks, as the perfect backdrop. The ceremony ended with a second line parade that led all the guests to cocktail hour in the front courtyard!

The Arlo is a modern luxury wedding venue located in between Austin and Dripping Springs with breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country. This 15,000 square foot event space offers large windows with tons of natural light and a blank canvas for luxury wedding designs. The venue includes 4 different event spaces and has some of the biggest getting ready suites in Austin that accommodate wedding parties of all sizes.

Ashley and Christian met towards the end of their time in undergrad at Duke University. They were in the same graduating class, but didn’t become friends until they both spent the summer between junior and senior year in Durham, NC. Ironically, they’d both been involved with planning live concerts on campus, as they both love live music, but their paths had somehow never crossed before then. Their friendship turned into dating towards the very end of senior year, when they realized we didn’t want to stop spending time together, and they dated long distance for the first 3 years after college. Christian proposed during a last minute trip to Colorado.
