When it comes to blending timeless romance with modern Western flair, Libby and Jacob’s Lost Mission wedding was nothing short of iconic. Set among the Spanish-style stone arches and sweeping Hill Country views of Lost Mission, their October celebration felt like the perfect Texas dream—equal parts elevated, heartfelt, and full of joy.
As San Antonio wedding photographers, we love when couples bring personal touches that feel true to their roots. From the moment guests arrived, they were welcomed by the sounds of a live mariachi band outside the chapel—setting the tone for a day filled with color, culture, and celebration.

Libby and Jacob’s wedding palette was a warm, romantic nod to the changing seasons: ivories, toffees, and cedar rose, with pops of red ranging from bright cherry to deep merlot. Every floral by Blume Haus Events told the story of fall in Texas—lush yet refined, full of movement and texture.
The reception design by Camille Wolfe Events transformed Lost Mission’s courtyard into a golden glow of candlelight and twinkling string lights, with Bee Lavish rentals completing the effortlessly elevated Western aesthetic.
After the ceremony, guests followed the mariachis in a joyful parade from the chapel to cocktail hour, where Reunion Coffee Cart served craft drinks alongside classic Texas bites. This moment—cheers, laughter, and the sound of guitars echoing through the hills—was one of our favorite memories from the day.
For portraits, we explored the golden fields and rustic stucco backdrops of Lost Mission, where Libby and Jacob’s chemistry took center stage. (You can also peek at their Austin dive bar engagement photos here to see how their love story began!)
One of the standout moments of the night was their first dance—a sweeping, romantic two-step that transitioned into a lively party thanks to All Hat, a live country cover band that kept the dance floor full all evening.
As guests grabbed light-up cowboy hats and circled around the couple, the atmosphere turned electric—laughter, twirling skirts, and a few spectacular dips. Even the donkeys made a cameo (yes, Libby and Jacob wanted a few portraits with them, and they did not disappoint!).
Instead of a traditional cake cutting, the couple opted for a stunning cake modeled after an old-fashioned cocktail—a nod to their shared love of craft drinks. It was a true showpiece, perfectly styled by Big City Farm.
Every thoughtful touch, from their custom bar signage to the flicker of candlelight on terracotta tabletops, reflected who they are—modern, intentional, and so full of love.
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that captures the beauty of Texas Hill Country with a refined Western twist, Lost Mission is one of our favorite venues to photograph. Its natural light, Spanish architecture, and endless portrait opportunities make it a gem for couples seeking something timeless yet personal.
