As an Austin maternity photographer, there are few things more meaningful than following a couple’s journey from “yes” to “I do” – and now, into parenthood. Natasha and Brent are the perfect example of why I love what I do. From the moment we captured their playful engagement photos at Mattie’s, to the joy-filled bridal portraits at Canyonwood Ridge, and the incredible celebration of their February wedding, every milestone has been such an honor to document.
Now, just months later, I had the privilege of photographing them again – this time as they prepare to welcome their baby boy at Circle C Park.
Natasha and Brent’s story began with a thoughtful comment Brent left on Natasha’s photo of the Sagrada Familia, and what started as a small moment quickly blossomed into something much more. Their first date at Peter Pan Mini-Golf set the tone: playful competition, laughter, and instant connection. From there, their relationship grew over nachos at Matt’s El Rancho and countless other adventures that reflected their joyful, down-to-earth love.
It’s been such a gift to witness their relationship unfold – from engaged couple to newlyweds, and now soon-to-be parents.
For their maternity session, we wanted to create something timeless and true to who they are. Natasha looked radiant, with a glow that only motherhood brings, and Brent’s admiration for her was so evident in every frame. Together, they were relaxed, playful, and deeply connected – a reflection of the same energy they carried throughout their engagement and wedding season.
We focused on warm, natural light and simple, heartfelt moments: Natasha’s hands gently cradling her bump, Brent leaning in with quiet pride, and the two of them laughing together as they imagined what life will be like when their baby boy arrives.
As an Austin maternity photographer, I truly believe that these sessions are about more than just documenting a season of life – they’re about honoring the anticipation, the love, and the quiet in-between moments before everything changes. For Natasha and Brent, these photos will serve as a bridge between their wedding chapter and their next adventure: parenthood.
Having photographed every major milestone in Natasha and Brent’s story, this session felt like coming full circle. From that first date at mini-golf to saying vows in front of their loved ones, and now preparing to meet their son – it’s been an honor to document their love in all its forms.
These photos aren’t just for today – they’re heirlooms for tomorrow, pieces of their story that their little boy will one day see and know just how loved he was before he even arrived.
