What can be said about Katie and Zack’s L’Auberge de Sedona wedding?! We originally planned for their destination wedding to take place in Colorado in May 2020 and it’s self-explanatory with what happened there…(RIP 2020 Wedding Season). They pushed to May 2021, but as we neared closer to their new date, Katie and Zack decided they didn’t want to wait any longer to get married. With the help of their fearless planners, Andrea and Laura, they moved their date up to 4 weeks away…making it too cold in Colorado for their outdoor dreams. Steadfast in their desire to get married in the mountains, they settled on Sedona with just 8 people in attendance: their parents and siblings (who doubled as their wedding party).

I’d originally met Katie through her best friend Laura’s wedding in August 2019,  so I was sad that her + her other bridesmaids weren’t able to attend, but they made up for it by having a Zoom bridesmaids first look to see how beautiful Katie looked. It was extremely special to see Katie and Zack make lemonade out of lemons and fulling embrace the concept of a truly intimate wedding.

By hosting a L’Auberge de Sedona wedding, Katie and Zack got to share their first look and ceremony in front of the Sedona Red Rocks – which is such as epic as it sounds. They shared emotional toasts and first dances underneath the twinkling bistro lights of the lawn. L’Auberge weddings mean every little details is taken care of – it was so extremely special to stay in the resort with the guests, and I won’t lie – the champagne and chocolate covered strawberries at the end of the night were *chef’s kiss*.

Another treasured gem of this wedding was getting to spend so much quality time with Laura of Mayfield Events. I left Arizona with a new friends and a full heart — and oh, so tired feet.
