This is another wedding that I’m desperately sad is over! You may remember these two from their east Austin engagement session – their Northgate Country Club wedding was even more adorable! Grace and Samuel live in NYC/NJ together (after their entire relationship being long-distant)!! Their wedding day was such a reflection of that patience and emphasis on their faith to carry them through life’s struggles. They first had their ceremony at Houston Chinese Church, Grace’s home church in Houston – the most touching part of the ceremony was when several of the almost 300 guests (!!!) stood up in the pews to pray over the couple and the entire sanctuary said “amen!” after every. single. prayer. It was SO powerful and was the perfect example of the community Grace and Samuel have built around them.

After the ceremony, we scurried to Northgate a Country Club for their reception! The couple’s love for their family showed as we shot every single generation present, including their grandparents. How special will those photos be in 20 years??

Walking around the NGCC property made me feel like I was in a Disney story: MAJOR regal vibes with the tall windows and ivy-covered brick. Perhaps my favorite part of the reception (besides Grace and Samuel enlisting for two of their funniest friends as the Emcees for the night!) was that any time guests wanted the couple to kiss, they had to sing them a song!!! I could go on for days and days, but I’ll update this blog with the wedding highlight reel once our videographer friends share the goods! There’s honestly no describing all the things that made their day special.
