Fort Point engagement photos mean achieving that glowy, golden hour under the Golden Gate Bridge and getting a different perspective on this San Francisco favorite! The best time to check this spot out is definitely on a week day – free on-site parking ANDDDD less crowds meaning we could hang out, relax and have Zack and Kelly’s sweet puppy Whiskey with us, too!
When I asked these two how they met, they told me Kelly first met Zach when his friend told him she was checking out his butt – HAHA! Somehow they ended up on a coffee date from there. Kelly mentioned his proposal was a HUGE surprise! He had convinced Kelly that she would have to wait another two years for an engagement ring, but instead he surprised her in Maui with her family there in the middle of a photo shoot for a family portrait that her mom told her he wasn’t allowed to be in because technically “he wasn’t family.” BOY was she surprised! He got down on one knee while the photographer was shooting and the first thing he said was “I know this may be a lot sooner than expected” and then, according to Kelly, she thinks they both blacked out.
We had the best time goofing off and getting to know one another during their engagement session. Not only are they so cute together, but they’re also SO dang nice. It felt like we had been friends for ages by the time we finally met up. We were able to laugh, make jokes and get comfortable working with one another. It made me even more excited to shoot their wedding at Park Winters next May!
If you loved these Fort Point engagement photos, then you will absolutely love this Pier 7 engagement session, too! Check out the rest of my engagement sessions HERE!
