Capturing Austin newborn photos for Valerie and Michael was an incredibly special experience, especially after photographing so many significant moments in their lives—from their stunning wedding to their anniversaries, their gender reveal announcement, and now, this sweet newborn phase with baby Luca. As a dear friend and fellow Austin wedding vendor, Valerie, the talented artist behind LBV Design House, holds a special place in my heart, making this session even more meaningful.

Luca’s arrival was a journey filled with both challenges and joy. After spending 18 days in the NICU, Luca is finally home, bringing immense happiness to his proud parents. The session was a beautiful celebration of Luca’s first days at home, surrounded by the love and warmth of his mama and daddy. The joy and relief of having their baby boy home were palpable in every moment we captured.

Sparty, their loyal pup, also made an appearance, adding a touch of sweetness to the session. Watching Sparty interact with Luca, it was clear that he was ready to take on his new role as a protective older sibling. The bond between this family of four is undeniable, and it was a privilege to document these first precious moments together.

Having photographed Valerie and Michael through so many stages of their lives, it’s incredible to see how their love has grown and evolved.
