Leah and Jerod met up for their Austin engagement photos at Bull Creek Park – one of my favorite Austin engagement photo locations. It was a warm summer morning, but these two were such champs about doing a sunrise session before it got too hot – a must for Texas summers.
Leah and I go way back – her older sisters and I went to summer camp together when we were in middle school. We were all raised in Austin, but lost touch over time – making me so excited when I saw Leah’s name pop into my inbox after all these years!
Jerod and Leah originally met at Texas Tech University when they lived in the same dorm. We both moved to Dallas after we graduated and randomly reconnected on a dating app, of all places. He proposed after two years of dating at her families ranch in West Texas. They are now living in the Fort Worth area, but are looking forward to getting married in Dripping Springs – the wedding capital of Texas.
I can’t wait to celebrate their wedding at Ma Maison in February with Tracy Collins Events! We just have to hope that Jerod brings a spare pair of pants, because he’s known for splitting his pants on the dance floor (it’s become a family tradition of sorts – haha)! I just can’t wait.
