Y’all ready for this? One of our most anticipated weddings of the year was Jana and Phil’s Wish Well House wedding! This colorful design was inspired by Pantone color of the year: Viva Magenta, and included touches of 90s music elements to represent Jana and Phil’s 17 year relationship.

Jana and Phil held their ceremony at the historical St. Mary Cathedral in Downtown Austin and had their cocktail hour and reception at Wish Well House, a small quaint hotel-turned-venue located in Georgetown, Texas. The two both incorporated high fashion touches to their wardrobes including a custom Reem Acra gown, a tailored Tom Ford suit, Dior pumps, Louboutin loafers, and heirloom jewelry from Jana’s Irish heritage.

This incredible wedding, designed by the talented Hawthorne and Poppy Events, included several important elements that represented the inception of Jana and Phil’s relationship 17 years ago to their present day:

• Custom-designed toile pattern reflecting the couple’s interests, which was incorporated throughout their design, including on custom Chinese take out boxes filled with personalized fortune cookies, table clothes, and the DJ booth
• Modern seating chart including personalized mix CDs for guests
• Multi-course meal to represent their love of food
• Jaw-dropping reception floral instal in Pantone color of the year: Viva Magenta
• 24-foot custom bar façade recounting the couple’s love story— including a mini Louis Vuitton bag as part of the display
• Symbols of the couple’s Panamanian and Chinese cultures, including live Panamanian dancers, bracelets-turned-napkin rings purchased in Panama, and custom toile Chinese takeout boxes

Jana and Phil first met when they were both attending George Washing University in Washington D.C. for college, though Phil was a few years ahead of her.  While Phil was getting a Masters and completing a fellowship at GWU, he had a DJ side hustle (which inspired a lot of the music design elements to their wedding). Jana had hired Phil to DJ a number of her sorority’s social events!  The two got engaged Memorial Day weekend in Newport, Rhode Island after spending the day exploring with their closest friends! Jana is now an attorney at Louis Vuitton and Phil is a consultant at PwC. They both live in New York City, where they love exploring their changing neighborhood with their Sheepadoodle, Lexington.
