Austin wedding photographers LOVE photographing engagement sessions at Bull Creek for a reason: the amazing golden hour peeking through the trees that give it a distinct Texas vibe! Chelsea and Noah’s photos were no different. I was so happy we FINALLY got to meet, especially because they just moved back to Texas after living in South Korea to teach ESL. I was so grateful they came back just in time for the beautiful Texas fall!!
As for Chelsea and Noah’s story, Chelsea definitely tells it best!
“Noah was straight out of school and working part-time as a trainer at a boxing gym in Georgetown. My best friend convinced me to start going with her for the evening workouts. Two of the trainers ended up leaving and Noah was stuck with us alone for a few weeks. When we all left that gym, I told him we needed moral support at a new gym and he kept working out with us until he made the move and asked me out. The crazy part is we grew up in the same town, took dance at the same studio when we were younger, knew the same people, went to the same church, both went to A&M, and somehow we had never met!
He wanted to keep the first date casual in case I was terribly awkward (lol) so I went golfing with him! I even beat him on a hole, but that’s our secret. 😉 I talked his ear off and we were inseparable all summer after that.
I knew I wanted to marry him a few months in when he started telling me about how he had already taken the steps to teach English abroad for a year before settling in and starting a career. It was something he was really passionate about, and I honestly didn’t even consider the option of staying here without him. That’s how I knew!Â
Noah proposed at a gazebo in Georgetown where we ended up talking until 4 am on one of our first few dates. He always said that night was when he knew this was the real deal, so it was perfect. The proposal was the night of our farewell party before leaving for South Korea, so all of our friends and family were there to also celebrate our engagement!
I know after being gone for a year, we are both over the moon about having everybody together again for the wedding. Besides getting married I think we are most excited to just have one big party and celebrate with everyone we love! This year has been a crazy adventure, and it’s going to be so special to all be together again.”
How cute are they?! I can’t wait for them to get married at Canyonwood Ridge (see all of our work there!) next Spring!! YAY!!!
If you loved Chelsea and Noah’s session, you will LOVE Amy and Dexter’s session, too!
