After going so long without shooting, these quarantine engagement photos made my entire MONTH! Partly because I’ve missed shooting so much, but MOSTLY because Blaire and Asher were so much fun to hang out with.
As much as I love sharing my couple’s stories, I’m going to let Blaire share this one for herself!!
“As quickly as our fingers first swiped right to each other, sparks also flew at full speed ahead when we met for our first dinner date at Odd Duck. In fact, we were SO enamored in conversation that not only were we the last two left in the restaurant, but we barely touched our plates! We connected over travel, food, and future aspirations. A few cooking classes, sunrise paddle boarding sessions, and several more captivating conversations later, and the rest is history.
One of the many things I love about Asher is his endless list of charming qualities (thank you Mama Mason!) Asher’s attention to detail and thoughtfulness made every single moment special and exciting. It wasn’t until the car ride to the airport, that Asher revealed our destination; beautiful Oregon! We spent the weekend at the coziest little cabin and we even ventured out on a day trip to Crater Lake. As we watched the sunset over the water, I looked next to me and he was down on one knee. Happy tears filled both of our eyes. Standing there in the most perfectly enchanting moment, I almost forgot to say “YES!”
When it came to picking our venue, we quickly walked around Mercury Hall and knew it was the one. It had that old Austin vibe, but I knew it could embrace the southern charm I was going for, for the day of.
With the travel restrictions that COVID has brought, I am really excited to be surrounded my loved ones and friends all at once during our wedding – that’s what I’m most excited about. I am also excited to walk down the aisle and see Asher for the first time!
I am not just saying this…but my favorite part of our engagement session was working with Paige! She made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. She made it very easy to incorporate our 8 month old mini goldendoodle (who needs to be attached to my hip at all times). Paige’s energy that she brings to a photo shoot is something that truly cannot be bought…not to mention it was also 95+ degrees outside.”
Our associate photographer Alex is photographing their wedding – we can’t WAIT to share those pictures next year!
If you love these quarantine engagement photos, you have to check out this springtime wedding at Woodbine Mansion, too!
