This Lost Mission San Antonio wedding was a beautiful autumnal affair with modern elements. From the terra cotta toned bridesmaid attire to the chandeliers draped in lush greenery, this wedding provides so much inspiration for any couple planning their wedding in the transitional season of fall. Lizy and Sean celebrated with friends and family, some of whom came as far as Mexico and Miami to be there on this special day! Earlier this year, I captured the wedding of Sean’s brother (see Kelly and Nolan’s wedding HERE) so this wedding was an exciting reunion for all of us. After seeing them in the roles of bridesmaid + best man, it was such a thrill to snap photos of Lizy + Sean in their wedding attire!
Beginning with a relaxed morning getting ready with their wedding party at Lost Mission, Lizy and Sean shared an emotional and happy series of moments during their first look which really set the tone for the day. The couple tied the knot in with a traditional Catholic wedding mass at St. Joseph’s German Catholic Church in nearby Spring Branch. Their ceremony included “el lazo”, a Mexican wedding tradition in which the bride and groom are draped in a large rosary which symbolize an eternal union. After the mass ended, their friends and family joined them back at Lost Mission for a vibrant evening of toasts, dancing, and celebration. Lizy + Sean had a unique touch at their reception with a live painting of Los Mission itself and guests were enthralled, watching the artist at work throughout the night.
This Lost Mission San Antonio wedding is not to be missed and provides all the good inspiration with the soft warm tones of nature in autumn.
