Fall engagement photos never looked so good! I had such a blast frockling in the beautiful (dead) grass with these two love birds for their engagement photos – even if the weather was an unseasonable 80 degrees – woof!
Dexter and Amy have been friends for six years, they met working nightshift at Texas Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric ICU! He is a respiratory therapist and is now part of RT leadership at the hospital, while she’s a registered nurse. They always enjoyed their witty banter and hanging out in groups, but never considered a relationship until their unit Christmas party in 2015 and told her that he wanted to take her on a date! She originally turned him down, thinking she didn’t want to date someone from work or ruin their friendship. But Amy realized deep down that she liked Dexter and couldn’t shake the feeling, so she called him up and asked him to coffee and then asked him out! He pretended not to want to, but then immediately agreed soooo, win-win 😉
Dexter proposed at their home on his birthday with our dogs, Toki (a corgi!) and Luna (a pitbull/lab mix) dressed up in white bows. He said proposing on his birthday was the only way she wouldn’t find out, and he was right because he shocked her! After he proposed at home, he took her to what she thought was his birthday party but was instead an engagement party at a bar with some of their closest friends. According to Amy, it was perfect!
I can’t wait to capture their wedding with Kristin Catter Events next spring!
If you love Amy and Dexter’s fall engagement photos, then you will love Bella and Dacus’ engagement photos, too!
