Golden Hour Blanco Engagement | Laura + James

I’m SO excited to finally be sharing Laura and James’ Blanco Texas engagement photos. You’ll see later in this post some photos on top of an incredible Hill Country mountain – welp, Laura took us up in there in a very bumpy (but FUN) ATX ride on her family’s property in Blanco. That was a first for me, but literally the most fun session in terms of adventures. 😉
James and Laura met on what was her third date in a week almost 4 years ago, but as she put it, “As luck would have it, he stuck and now we’re engaged! He’s my very best friend and we just have the best time together wherever we are.”
I got an email from Laura the same week they got engaged (LOVE!!) in Bar Harbor, Maine (double love, because BH is one of my favorite places in this world). He surprised her while they were on vacation with Laura’s family and when walked out to the lawn on the harbor to check out the view and he popped the question. He had one more surprise after lots of hugs and pictures with her parents and then HIS parents walked through the door. They flew allll the way from Midland for the surprise. It’s easy to say there was lots of ugly crying and love flowing that day!
These two are MY people – when I asked them what they do for fun, they hang out with their sweet puppy and drink WINE (they’re even members of a local Blanco winery, UM, invite please?!).
I’m so excited for their summer Canyonwood Ridge wedding – teaming up with some of my favorite friend-ors (get it…friend vendors) to give this couple the elegant, fun day the deserve will be the cherry on top of it!
