I have to admit, sharing these summer Barr Mansion wedding photos makes me tear up a little bit when I think about the first time I heard of this venue looking at my parent’s wedding photos there over 26 years ago. This little Northeast Austin venue is a gem: the perfect combination of a historic estate house mixed with Secret Garden vibes. Every detail around the property is thoughtfully executed, even the getting ready suites had fresh farm-to-table goodies for the couple to snack on. Did I mention this venue does all their own catering and it’s truly phenomenal? That’s a hard feat when it comes to event catering and they knock it out of the park.

It was easy to see why Sydney and Shane chose to have a summer Barr Mansion wedding and exchange nuptials here (you may remember their engagements HERE!). From start to finish, their day was so focused on being with everyone they love and marrying each other.

Because Sydney and Shane did a first look, we got to knock out 98% of their photos before the wedding, meaning after a few quick family photos post-ceremony, they got to join cocktail hour and truly soak up time with their guests. It was such a blessing and truly transformed their wedding day experience. And let me mention, it didn’t impact the emotional that happened during the ceremony (just look at the photos below). If anything, it got them more and more excited for their big moment!

To put it in perspective, Sydney and Shane are the type of people to check on everyone else during the day. They made sure everyone was having fun, enjoying themselves and heck – they even sent a glass of rosé over to me during cocktail hour. So sweet right?!

I wish I could relive this day over and over – I love you guys, Syd and Shane!
