Being a South Bay Area wedding photographer means I get to spend my week nights capturing true love against a backdrop of golden hills – Kaelynn and Steven’s engagement session was no exception!!

I had so much meeting with them at Coyote Creek Trail in Morgan Hill. It was perfect timing since the very next day, the entire Bay Area and San Francisco turned ORANGE from all the wild fire smoke. While it was a little hazy while we were shooting, it was still truly SO beautiful and romantic during their session.

One of my favorite parts of the PVP Wedding Experience is getting to know my couples! Kaelynn shared more about her and Steven’s relationship so you could get to know them, too!!

How we met: “Back in 2015, I worked with Steven’s best friend, Chris. After a company event one night, Chris kept going on and on about how he just then realized that he should set me up with his friend. I didn’t take him too seriously and honestly thought he would forget. By the next morning, he had already set up a group hangout for me to meet Steven. He didn’t tell us anything about each other so our bond would be mutual and wouldn’t feel as much like a “set up”. Steven and I instantly hit it off and he was already making plans that night for our first date. Our first date was a week later at Nola in downtown Palo Alto. I could tell Steven was nervous because he asked question after question, his most famous being “do you prefer sweaters or sweatshirts?” We still laugh about it to this day. One thing that instantly attracted me to Steven was how he always made a point to schedule our next date before our current one ended (most guys are terrible planners).”
