These South Austin engagement photos are some of my favorite, especially because these too just bought a house in Buda, super close to our engagement location, making it SUPER special.
Usually, I add my own voice to their engagement story, but Bella and Dacus did such a good job telling their story, that I will let them take it away!! 🙂
“It was Friday, December 16th 2017, a dark and drizzly night. We had been invited to a mutual friend’s Albino Elephant Party. I (Belle) was sitting on the couch, eating pizza rolls and drinking hot chocolate when the most handsome stranger I’ve ever laid eyes on walked in the back door, late. I (Dacus) walked in, late after deciding whether or not to attend, and was entranced by the radiance of a beautiful and familiar face. We didn’t speak to one another but continued to make intense eye contact at each other, neither looking away. At one point in the evening, the movie Home Alone was playing. I (Bella) motioned for Dacus to sit next to me on the couch, because there were so many empty seats to choose from and I didn’t want him to pick the wrong one. We did not attempt to make small talk, but instead we made comments solely on and about the movie. We switched between the eye contact holds and conversing with the other attendees, until we became the last two remaining. We walked out of the party together, making various comments about the weather until Bella stated, “It was very nice to meet to you.” To which I (Dacus) replied, “It was very nice to meet you, as well.” We then stared at each other with smiles on our faces waiting for me (Dacus) to ask for Bella’s number. When it didn’t happen, we walked separate ways to our vehicular devices. I (Bella) took my time, putting my new presents in my trunk, waiting to see if Dacus would walk over, he didn’t so I got in my car and started it. “Turn around and get her number!” I (Dacus) thought as I was driving away, and so I looped around the driveway and stopped Bella as she was backing her car up. I (Bella) saw the headlights in my rearview mirror just as I was about to back up “please be him, please be getting out of your car, please come talk to me” my mind was hopeful, and it was right. I (Belle) saw Dacus get out of his car and I rolled my window down before he even got to it. I (Dacus) walked up to Belle’s car and asked, “Can I have your number?” Belle answered, “Yes,” with a big smile on her face and then proceeded to give me her number. “It’s Bella, right?” I (Dacus) asked. Bella replied, “Yes, it’s Bella Key. What’s your last name, I like having full names in my phone?” “It’s Stewart,” I (Dacus) stated. I (Belle) smiled and freaked out on the inside because Stewart is my sisters new last name and also because he just asked for my number!! Dacus told me he’d see me at yoga Monday and got into his car. Three months from that day, Dacus asked Bella to marry him, at a beautiful park in Georgetown down by a river with 2 ducks as their witnesses.”
They will be saying “I do!” at Zedler Mill Pavilion in Luling, TX and I cannot WAIT!
