This Mercury Hall wedding in Austin was an 80 person affair with an intimate, garden party feel, perfect for a warm Texas night. When planning their wedding, Jess and John wanted to recreate the night they met. 10 years before, they connected on a study abroad trip to Italy. Dining al fresco almost every single night, Jess and John fell in love under the stars and the rest was history! To honor the start of their relationship, both the ceremony and reception were held outside at Mercury Hall surrounded by romantic bistro lights and oak trees.
As an interior designer, Jess left her touch on the wedding details with dip dyed napkins and table decor. James, an architect himself, drew up an intricate layout of the entire party, ensuring there was plenty of room for guests to mingle and enjoy themselves. Together, they designed a delicate concrete and metal table for the ceremony area. Every aspect of this wedding was thoughtfully designed by the pair and I absolutely loved it!
After the ceremony concluded, the sweet strains of a string quartet floated through the air and gave the event an elevated and festive feel. Guests enjoyed cocktails and yard games, with the oversized Connect Four set being a big hit! Jess and John made sure to spend time with each of their guests, mingling and catching up. You could just feel the joy in the air, everyone carried the biggest smiles on their faces throughout the night! This wedding at Mercury Hall in Austin continued late into the evening, ending with a giant dance party. (As all weddings should, right?)
