Part of me can’t believe I finally get to share these Washington D.C. Jefferson Memorial Cherry Blossom engagement photos of my BEST FRIENDS. Like what the heck?! Once Holly and AJ got engaged (check out their proposal and story HERE), we knew we wanted to go somewhere awesome for their engagement photos, especially since I just started offering destination engagement sessions (I can’t wait to share sessions happening in Washington, Denver and California soon!).
With all the white marble around Washington, D.C., it was a no-brainer for our light and airy-loving hearts! We decided to shoot in a couple areas around D.C., including at the Jefferson Memorial, around the Tidal Basin Cherry Blossoms and at the Supreme Court.
The weather was absolutely PERFECT. We spent the week scootering miles and miles around D.C., checking out restaurants, museums and lounging around drinking – a week in heaven, basically. I’m so grateful to have these babes as my best friends and that they’re willing to adventure with me to do thing like this!
Starting May 16th, we will officially begin the “one year” countdown, but until then, these two are just soaking in this season of engagement and I couldn’t be happier!

[…] Holly and AJ’s modern and colorful Camino Real Ranch wedding was inspired by a fun Palm Springs aesthetic – and did I mention they are my best friends, too?! Not only was I a bridesmaid for these two, I also doubled as their photographer (with the help of my amazing second shooters Lacey + Eryn, and my assistant Diana!!). It was an utterly ambitious mission to take on, but at the end of the day, it was so worth it to see my favorites get married after THREE years of engagement and multiple postponements (you might remember their proposal HERE and their D.C. engagement photos HERE).
