It’s a modern love story with Michele and Bryan’s Downtown Austin engagement session! 5 years ago, they were both single and ready to mingle. A mutual swipe right (thank you dating apps!) brought along a magical first date. One thing lead to another and now they’re planning a wedding! With Ashley Voda of Mrs. Planner at the helm, Michele and Bryan are in very capable hands. I can’t wait to see how she’ll bring their wedding vision to life at The Allan House. With their classic yet modern style, it’s going to be a stunning affair filled with greenery complimented by a jewel toned palette. (Such a dream to photograph, right?)

To celebrate their love and add a little more fun into our session, they popped a bottle of bubbly, which always makes for an amazing photo opportunity and feels so celebratory! They started their session in a more relaxed and casual outfit, which really fit the tone for a stroll downtown. Their outfits work so well together because they have complimentary tones but aren’t totally matching. (I always recommend this for a cohesive feel!) About halfway through, we paused and they changed into a more elevated, formal look for the rest of our session. It’s alway so nice to have options for your wedding website and save-the-date when it comes to photos and dressing up gives you a great excuse to go out for cocktails afterwards!

I felt lucky to be photographing Michelle and Brian here in Austin, they’re often on a plane jetting away together, whether for work or for fun. They traveled down from Dallas for this, which was a small trip compared to their more recent adventures! They’ll often tag along on one another’s work trips to even get more travel time together. Isn’t that sweet? This Downtown Austin engagement session was filled with so fun photos of these two frequent flyers.
