If you’re local to the Austin area, you know this week’s weather was downright incredible! I was lucky enough to meet up with Marianna + Steve four days (!!!) after they booked their wedding for their downtown Austin engagement photos. I truly can’t describe a more fun line up of locations for a Thursday afternoon – we shot downtown (my favorite!!), at the Greetings from Austin mural in South Central Austin and then ended the night at The ABGB for pizza and beer. I can’t take credit for how cool this session turned out – these two knew exactly what we wanted and we went for it.
Marianne + Steve got engaged this past February and are well on their way for planning the most kick-butt wedding downtown Austin has ever seen, including their reception at 800 Congress – a venue I’ve been dying to shoot at since it’s opening last year. These babes hail from the midwest and the northeast, having met each other at one of their first jobs in Madison, Wisconsin. They ran in the same circles but never had the opportunity to get to know one another until they went out with a group of friends. Before they knew it, they had spent hours talking and realized all their friends had left and it was just the two of them. Fast forward a few years, they made the jump to move to Austin to start their lives together – how they got engaged is too sweet of a story, but let’s just say the way Marianne described it made me tear up a little. 🙂
I love the way these two tell stories, the look in their eyes when they sneak a peek at each other and how excited they are to continue their lives together. I’m so grateful to be partnering with them during this exciting time. 🙂
If you loved this session, you will loveeee Elizabeth and Bryan’s downtown Austin engagement photos! Are you looking for an engagement session that is just as fun as you are? Send me a note – let’s plan the session of your dreams!
